What’s in your basket?

When I work with people, I always ask what their typical diet looks like. Most always clients claim to eat fruits and veggies but when they actually log their food choices on a piece of paper, almost all discover they run short on the minimum 4-5 servings/day. Nutritionally, this is a problem because we get a lot of our essential nutrients from these foods. For optimal health, 7-9 servings/day are actually recommended. People wonder why they feel tired, achy, lack of focus, low energy, depression, headaches, digestive issues, sleep problems, skin disorders, disease, etc. Although there may be many factors that play into our declining health such as environment, DNA, etc. our food and lifestyle choices have a significant impact on how we feel every single day. So, I ask, “what’s in your grocery basket?”
